Police arrest sex workers over murder of customer in Ogun

The Ogun Police Command has arrested two sex workers for allegedly stabbing a middle aged man, Adeyinka Olayinka to death in Ifo area of the state.

The suspects are Kudirat Raji, also known as Angela and Esther Basiru.

The State’s Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, (PPRO), disclosed this on Wednesday in a statement presented to journalists in Abeokuta. Vanguard reports.

The PPRO said the victim, who was coordinating construction work on his site, passed the night at the KS Hotel, in Ifo and was killed due to an argument between him and Angela after they have both fixed agreed on a slated fee.

“While the argument was going on, Basiru who is a friend to Angela broke a bottle and injured the deceased.

“Angela used the broken part of the bottle to stab the deceased in the armpit thereby cutting one of his nerves, consequent upon which he bled to death,’’ Oyeyemi explained.

He also said the hotel manager informed the Police and the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ifo Division; CSP Anthony Haruna’s men visited the crime scene to arrest the suspects.

While the case has been transferred to the Homicide section, Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for investigation and prosecution of the suspects on the orders of the state’s police Commissioner, Ahmed Iliyasu.
