The Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Friday said his administration would build three modern General Hospitals this year to improve healthcare delivery in the state.
The Governor stated this while listening to residents’ requests during the quarterly Town Hall Meeting at Shibiri/Ekunpa Area Office in Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area of Lagos.
“Talking about General Hospitals, in the budget, we have a designated General Hospital for three axes and Ojo Local Government is one of them.
“It is in the pipeline, it is just a matter of time, and we are already closing in on it, Ambode said.”
He disclosed to residents that healthcare services would be improved in Oto Awori riverine area. Ambode said, “This area is traditionally and historically known to be a major supporter of government, and then we must give them back for the support which they have always been known for.”
