
Garba Durbunde, a member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, kidnapped on Tuesday May 30th, by unknown gunmen along the Abuja-Kaduna highway has been released.
The lawmaker’s aide, Tunde Adela, confirmed that he was freed last night.
According to reports, a ransom was paid for the lawmaker’s release who represent Takai/Sumaila federal constituency of Kano state in the lower chamber.
Recall that Durbunde was traveling to Kano from Abuja when he was kidnapped.
