INEC registers 14,000 new voters in Niger State

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday, said it has registered 14,000 eligible voters in the Continuous Voters Registration in Niger State.

Alhaji Aliyu Bungudu, Secretary to the commission, disclosed to the News Agency of Nigeria, in Minna, the state capital, that temporary voters card have been given to those registered.

Bugundu said residents who registerd early and are yet to collect their Permanent Voters’ Cards, PVCs, can get them in INEC offices, in the 25 local government areas of the state.

He also called on political parties, stakeholders and development associations to help the commission in encouraging residents to collect their PVCs.
