Former Nigerian health minister, Osotimehin is dead

The Executive Director of United Nations Populations Fund, UNFPA, Professor Babatunde Osotimehin is dead.

Osotimehin, 68, a former minister of health died early hours of Monday.

Family and UNFPA sources have confirmed his death.

Osotimehin, was the Director General of National Agency for Control of AIDS (NACA) and also a former Provost of the College of Medicine at the University of Ibadan before he was appointed as CEO of UNFPA in November 2010.
