Daniel James in the running to be Manchester United’s next signing.
Manchester United are reportedly close to landing Swansea winger Daniel James in a £15 million deal this summer.
The 21-year-old Welshman is said to have agreed personal terms with the Red Devils who are looking to strengthen their squad for competition next season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men finished sixth on the Premier League table at the end of the recently concluded season. And SunSport quoting Sky Sports reports a deal could be completed very soon, with the player set to become the Norwegian’s first ever signing at Old Trafford.
The Welshman, 21, almost joined Leeds in the winter window but a stunning mobile malfunction caused the deal to collapse.
The attacking midfielder scored four times and assisted seven other goals in 33 Championship games for Swansea last term. James has one more season left on his current contract with the Swans and the Welsh side are looking to cash out on the ace before losing him on a free next season.
The Liberty Stadium outfit even left him out of their final-day draw at Blackburn in order to avoid him sustaining any injury ahead of his expected summer move.
The attacker has been tipped as one to bring solution to the Red Devils right side of midfield next season.
He played a total of 38 matches at the recently concluded season netting five times and grabbing 10 assists. James has also made two international appearances for Wales under Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs, and scored on his competitive home debut against Slovakia.
Solskjaer is also in the window for Benfica wonderkid Joao Felix who at 19 has a release clause of £105m.
