Spanish International, Diego Costa, says his former club Atletico Madrid, might be his next destination should he decide to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
The Brazilian-born striker whose 22 goals helped Chelsea become premier league champion said this following his club’s FA cup loss to Arsenal on Saturday, after reports linked him to a move to China due to his training ground dispute with his coach. Antonio Conte in January.
“If the club really want to sell me and there is an offer from a different club, I will stay.
“If the offer is from Atletico, I will think about it that much is clear.
“I am going to choose my future, not them. I won’t change city or country for another that isn’t Spain.
“If the club want to sell me, there is only one team and I have made that very clear,” Costa said after Saturday’s FA Cup final.
Recall that 28-year old Costa almost returned to Atletico last year, but couldn’t due to the Madrid based club’s inability to fulfil Chelsea’s requirements.
