Ex-international, Christian Chukwu, has charged the Super Eagles to perform up the expectations by winning the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
Egypt are the hosts of the 2019 edition after winning the hosting right ahead of South Africa and Chukwu said the Eagles could soar regardless of the venue of the event.
The former Eagles coach, who led the team to the semifinals of 2004 AFCON, stated that it would not be easy for the three-time champions to claim the title in Egypt.
“Our national team should live up to expectation because now, they are playing against bigger teams than before having made it to the tournament after missing two editions. Although they are representing the country in the competition, I am expecting them to showcase themselves and their talents to the world,” Chukwu said.
“They are supposed to prove why they are one of the best in Africa, they must not fear any opponents,” he said.
