25,000 PDP members decamp to APC in Kebbi

About 25,000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Sunday in Kebbi State.

The defectors comprising of 160 former PDP councillors, businessmen, contractors, women and youth groups were led by the state’s PDP chairman, Bello Doya. Daily post reports.

Governor, Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, who welcomed the new APC members said that everyone in the party would be treated equally and fairly.

“APC is a blessing to Nigeria, it has become the party of all, in APC everybody is equal, all will be treated equally and fairly,” Bagudu said.

Alhaji Attahiru Maccido, APC chairman in the state also said the new members willingly joined the party.
