Benue education board begins translation of science textbooks to Tiv language

The Executive Chairman, Benue State Universal Basic Education Board, Rev. Philip Tachin announced today in Makurdi that the board has started translating science textbooks into Tiv language to ensure more students are motivated to study science courses in the state.

He said Benue SUBEB was also exploring ways to translate the textbooks into Idoma and Igede dialects.

Tachin said this at a workshop “Strengthening Mathematics and Science Education (SMASE).’’
